The cardamom buyback scheme has not worked well in Sarpang, one of the biggest producers of the spice in the country.
Food Corporation of Bhutan Ltd (FCBL), the implementing agency of the buyback scheme managed to buy only 2.7 metric tons (MT) of cardamom against the estimated 25MT from the dzongkhag.
