BHOJPUR: As many as four persons were injured after a jeep they were travelling on overturned in Bhojpur Municipality-9 of Bhojpur district today.
The injured have been identified as jeep driver Nir Kumar Rai of Khotang, passengers Ganesh Khadka (24) of Bhojpur Municipality-4, and Sarita Rai (35) and Ningma Tamang, both the residents of Shadananda Municipality-10.
According to Head Constable Mohan Neupane at Bhojpur District Traffic Police Office (DTPO), the Bolero jeep (Ko 1 Ja 2267) carrying passengers heading towards Bhojpur from Dingla located in north of Bhojpur district headquarters, overturned on its side injuring four persons, at a turning at Kaphle, at around 11:30 am today.
The injured were sent to District Hospital, Bhojpur for the treatment, the Head Constable at the DTPO informed. Others travelling on the taxi are said to be in normal condition.
Police have blamed the accident on driving the vehicle over the speed limit.
