KATHMANDU: The government’s flagship Nepal Investment Summit that kicked off in Kathmandu on Friday has continued on second day today.
The government has outlined today’s programme dividing into ‘Parallel Sessions 3’ and three plenary sessions before the concluding session.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Raghubir Mahaseth has chaired the Parallel Sessions 3 on Infrastructure: Building Sustainable Transport Infrastructure, while, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Chakra Pani Khanal has chaired the Parallel Sessions 3 on Agro and Forest Products: Opportunities Through Niche and Value Chains.
Joint Secretaries at MoPIT and MoALD presented the potential possibilities of development in transport and agro sectors in the country, while foreign transport leads have expressed their thoughts and curiosity in the parallel sessions.
The inaugural ceremony of the two-day event saw the government explaining reforms that have been made over the years to attract foreign investment, which is crucial to bridge huge infrastructure gap and generate jobs in other sectors to transform Nepal into a middle-income country.
