DHANGADHI: Members of a rights activists group today held a two-hour demonstration in front of the District Administration Office, Kanchanpur, in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City demanding justice for Nirmala Panta who was raped and murdered in the district nine months ago.
Rights activists took part in the protest led by a struggle committee in the sub-metropolis on Tuesday.
On the occasion, demonstrators also submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli via Chief District Officer and demanded that the government find culprits involved in the crime and bring them to book.
While submitting the memorandum, struggle committee member Nar Bahadur Saud said, “We have not felt any sense of justice as the government has failed to find the culprits.” He further said that it was sad that the government could not find the culprits for nine months.
